My first oil painting

It started with the request for a picture for a student room (physics student). The cancernebular was the right choice.

I had decided for oil painting, I´ve never done it before and I´m interested to try new techniques for painting. I want that the picture had structure and intense luminous color, the right things for a cancer nebular.

The internet was a little help, but in the theory it always sounds easy.

My choice … just do it

Brush, spatula, sponge … everything was used!

For the background I recommend to use the sponge with water …. covers quickly and carefully.

The spatula was perfect for the contours and the sponge for the clean transitions.

Since I´ve done this for the first time, I was totally surprised from the result.

My personal hint:

It´s best not to think much about it :-) Just do it.

Abstract pictures are perfect for trying new techniques.

Mein erstes Ölgemälde

Angefangen hat es mit der Bitte ein Bild für ein WG Zimmer (Physik Studenten) zu malen. Der Krebsnebel war die perfekte Wahl dafür.

Ich hatte mich für Öl Malerei entschieden, da ich das noch nie gemacht hatte, ich probiere immer wieder gerne neue Techniken aus, und ich wollte dass das Bild Struktur und intensive leuchtende Farben hat um den faszinierenden Krebsnebel richtig zur Geltung zu bringen.

Lange Recherchen im Internet waren teilweise hilfreich. Aber in der Theorie ist alles viel einfacher als in der Praxis. Also habe ich einfach darauf los gemalen.

Augen zu und durch. :-)

Pinsel, Spachtel, Schwamm … alle kam zum Einsatz!

Für den Hintergrund empfehle ich den Schwamm mit etwas Wasser … Deckt schnell und sorgfältig.

Die Spachtel war praktisch für die Konturen und der Schwamm für saubere Übergänge.

Da ich das zum ersten Mal gemacht habe, war ich vom Ergebnis total positiv überrascht.

Mein persönlicher Tipp:

Am besten nicht zu viel darüber nachdenken :-) Einfach loslegen und ausprobieren.

Abstrakte Bilder sind dafür am besten geeignet und man entdeckt immer wieder eigene Techniken wie es am besten geht.
